Tyson Smoak, CCIM, SIOR

Tyson Smoak co-leads the firm’s client engagements, leasing and sales brokerage initiatives, fundraising activities and brand awareness. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtor member (SIOR), he is responsible for all business development, as well as new opportunity origination.

 

Tyson Smoak co-founded Pintail along with two partners in 2015. A believer in the transformative power of building meaningful relationships, his greatest asset is his ability to connect people. He is responsible for all business development and new opportunity origination for the firm, having co-led the company through eight years of steady growth.

Tyson’s core brokerage focus is on strategic office leasing, specifically tenant representation, leading him to transact across the Southeast on behalf of his many clients. Tenacious and strategic, he is single-minded in advocating for his client, but is quick to remind the team that his goal is not to be a broker for his clients, but rather a long-term partner, resource and friend.

Tyson enjoys sharing that relational philosophy and approach with the next generation of CRE professionals, and is passionate about nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in younger brokers. 

A native of Greenville, SC and graduate of Furman University, Tyson is proud to call the Upstate home. When he’s not serving his clients, he can be found on any open body of water or traveling with his wife and three beautiful children.
